We are off on holidays for the next couple of weeks. Earlier in the week I spied some lovely wool jersey at Spotlight. I have a favourite wool jersey maxi dress, and I managed to cut a pattern off it, and made myself another to take away. I also made another cowl. As we are doing winter on the North Queensland beaches, I am thinking layering maxi dresses with cardies and a belt will do me pretty well...
It is always a hard decision on what to take. I am thinking a few easy, interchangeable outfits, a good book, and a yarn project should do me just fine. I am going to try my hand at another cardie for the Little Miss, in this navy Bendigo cotton that has been in the stash for awhile:

Wool jersey sounds lovely - how does it compare with cottons to sew? Have a great break, and when you get back there should be something waiting for you! ;)
ReplyDeletewell done on sewing a maxi dress ... I've been on the look out for some summer maxi dresses for our shift to PNG, and will have to have a go at sewing one too. Your yarn is a beautiful colour, and I scrolled down the page and saw you crochet blanket...just stunning :)
ReplyDeletesounds like you have got things just right for your time away...the dress and cowl both get the BIG TICK OF APPROVAL!!!! TK xx
ReplyDeleteStylish and comfortable. I think you are on to a winner. And a good book and a yarn project are musts. Have a wonderful time. I'll be picturing you soaking up some sun and swanning around in your new outfit. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a ball!
ReplyDeletei love the outfit and I think it looks like the perfect resort wear, comfy and cool and stylish.
Enjoy, your hols Trace. The clothes looks great- perhaps model some with pristine beach in the background and share when you get back. melx
