Not sure how much I will actually create today.
the Boy and I are long overdue for some quality
mother - son time together.
In the pipe line, I thought I would try my hand at a bit of cross stitching.
Inspired by Gina's cushion, I found my way over to Anette Eriksson
and purchased a little Frenchy cross stitch pattern.
What better colour to use than a bit of French Navy?
I think what has kept me from cross stitch in the past is the funny looking background cloth.
However I love the idea of using Hessian and Burlap!

Oh I can totally see French blue on Hessian. Enjoy the mummy son quality time :)
ReplyDeleteYummy. I'm restraining myself from buying more right now from Annette, but totally have my eye on a pattern or two... looking forward to seeing yours done!
ReplyDeleteHmm a burlap cross-stitch sounds great! I've never seen one before, so I look forward to seeing the result!
ReplyDeleteI love the shade of blue that you picked! Have fun cross-stitching!
ReplyDeleteYummo! Those colours look gorgeous! And something frenchy...you can't go wrong!! Best of luck with your project and hope your week is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteIt will look beautiful. I love the colour of the floss. Delightful... and yes - very french.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I happened upon your beautiful blog. I look forward to follow along with you on life's many adventures!! :)

I think a mother-son time can be really creative, also. Good luck with the cross stitching.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be awesome! Can't wait to see the progress of the cross-stitching. And have fun with the little man...spending time with my son is one of my favorite things, too! :) Rather stress relieving actually. :)
