My Creative Space

Oh Boy, did I have a bloggy day last thursday reading all the great spaces over at Kootoyoo! If I am to get anything done today, I will have to show more restraint!

My Space today is on my ironing board in the Kitchen. I have been making some little lined pouches with some of this cute Japanese fabric I bought from retromummy a few weeks ago. Inside I have this lovely Moda Wonderland print that was in the stash. See, I told you I was gonna get into that stash! I am also showing off my coffee ground pincushion I made from a little Prints Charming panel. I forget were I first saw the idea for stuffing a pincushion with dried coffee grounds, but I do think this is my favorite pincushion ever.

Inspired by (and unashamedly copied from) Gina's thread sketching, I gave her great tutorial a go and came up with this. Still a work in progress, and not sure what I will do with it. I am thinking of putting it on a cushion I was going to make up out of the new French General fabric (sorry, I cannot find a link for it). Any other suggestions?

Happy Creating, hope you get off the computer today!

  3. Love your little pouch! What a sweet fabric, and the embroidery is lovely too. I think a cushion would be lovely or on a bag perhaps.
THanks for your sweet comment about my guys.
