That baby gift

A while ago I blogged about a
baby blanket I was making for a friend.

Here it is, gifted some time ago now and hopefully well used and loved

What I love most about this project, was that 5 mutual friends contributed to the squares (linen with either embroidery or applique) and many of them had never made anything before, but wanted to show their love by giving it a go.

We all lived in this little community together at the time, and I hope it serves as a lovely reminder of our friendship (which is still going strong, despite the distance).

Made with love for our new little friend Kade and is precious family.

  1. Beautiful and I am sure very treasured! I think it makes it even more special that so many people contributed to it's making.

  2. Lovely quilt, and too cool that your friends all contributed. (I was a MAC and LIttle Queen-er, and was always the teensiest bit envious of the But-Har-Gra community. 'Cause you know, it's all about community...)

  3. A quilt is one of the best gifts you can receive because everyone knows just how much work goes into them. This is very sweet, and a beautiful chance to share something special with friends.
