A while ago I blogged about a
baby blanket I was making for a friend.
Here it is, gifted some time ago now and hopefully well used and loved
What I love most about this project, was that 5 mutual friends contributed to the squares (linen with either embroidery or applique) and many of them had never made anything before, but wanted to show their love by giving it a go.
We all lived in this little community together at the time, and I hope it serves as a lovely reminder of our friendship (which is still going strong, despite the distance).

Made with love for our new little friend Kade and is precious family.

Beautiful and I am sure very treasured! I think it makes it even more special that so many people contributed to it's making.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt, and too cool that your friends all contributed. (I was a MAC and LIttle Queen-er, and was always the teensiest bit envious of the But-Har-Gra community. 'Cause you know, it's all about community...)
ReplyDeleteA quilt is one of the best gifts you can receive because everyone knows just how much work goes into them. This is very sweet, and a beautiful chance to share something special with friends.
